Dr. Corina-Olimpia GROSU
Dr. Corina-Olimpia Grosu graduated from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Faculty of General Medicine in Bucharest, in 1997, obtaining a medical degree with a final grade of 10.00.
She has been a cardiology specialist since 2006 and a senior cardiologist since 2011. She has held competencies in aerospace medicine since 2009 and has completed specialization courses in echocardiography, vascular protection in systemic atheromatosis, and pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Between 2006 and 2010, she worked as a cardiology specialist at the Army Emergency Clinical Center for Cardiovascular Diseases (CCUBCVA). Since 2009, Dr. Corina-Olimpia Grosu has successively held positions as specialist physician, senior physician, head of the cardiology office, and head of the aeronautical research department at the National Institute of Aeronautical and Space Medicine “General Doctor Aviator Victor Anastasiu” (INMAS) in Bucharest. Since 2023, she has been Deputy Commander and Medical Director of INMAS.
She has held a PhD in Medicine since 2015, with an interdisciplinary thesis (cardiology–infectious diseases–cardiovascular surgery) entitled “Evaluation of surgical indication in bacterial endocarditis with valvular involvement”, under the supervision of Prof. Univ. Dr. Petre Calistru.
She is President of the Romanian Society of Aeronautical Medicine, Vice President of the Romanian Society of Hyperbaric Medicine, a member of the Romanian Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology, holds a PhD in Medical Sciences, and is a certified AME (Aeronautical Medical Examiner) Class 1, authorized to perform selection, assessment, and re-evaluation of pilots and civil aeronautical personnel within the Aeromedical Center AMC-INMAS.
She has participated in numerous congresses and scientific events in cardiology, aeronautical and space medicine, hyperbaric medicine, and operational medicine.
